Verified insiders
The whole idea depends on the difference between anonymous person and anonymous genuine insider.
A 🟣 Verified badge means we’ve checked that the person behind the handle really works in the profession — without ever revealing who they are.
How it works
- Work email. Enter an address on a recognised professional domain and confirm a code. We keep only the domain and a one-way hash.
- Manual review. No work email? Tell a moderator how you could show it privately (redacted payslip, union card, professional register number). We never publish the evidence and delete it after review.
What verified insiders get
- The badge on every post and comment.
- The ability to answer Ask an Insider questions.
- Their votes count in the separate verified insider results on Truth or Myth and debates.
- Low-risk posts go live without waiting for the queue.
